Surplus Buyers started in this industry selling office supplies & servicing laser printers and computers in downtown San Francisco in 1990. From there, we merged into helping businesses liquidate goods ranging anywhere from E-waste to complete corporate facility shut downs & relocations.

We have sold over 100 million in excess inventory from 1990 to present. In 2007, our company was a top ten world wide eBay seller (Which we are extremely proud of). We sold over one million items on eBay while maintaining a 99.9% positive feedback rating. We enjoyed working for one of the largest capital investment firms in the valley for over ten years, being their primary liquidator for hundreds of jobs.
How we work.
We begin our process by carefully evaluating every item you have. We take great care in documenting all items with photos and detailed descriptions so our market researchers can accurately value the lot. All items are cross-referenced across multiple sales channels like eBay and Amazon to find the perfect price point.
Once all items are properly valued and an agreement is in place, we come and pick up all of your items and bring them back to our warehouses. We then create an itemized inventory list and begin posting each item on its respective sales channel. Our listings are fully public and can be viewed/monitored at any time.
Last, but certainly not least, it’s time to get paid. If you are on a cash buyout plan, this is your first step. Otherwise, you get paid once your items sell. We take a percentage of every sale as our service fee, and you keep the rest. Our sales team will create a detailed breakdown of our selling costs and fees so there is full transparency in our process.
